Fiesta Feel around San Pedro Church every Sunday!


Sundays at San Pedro Church in Davao City, the main street fronting the church, City Hall and Rizal Park transform into a Sunday market. The church ceremony are going on from dawn until the early evening. Scenes that we usually see are all captured in pictures. This is where families go after attending their Sunday routine.



Children are delighted with lots of things to that are being offered in the market. Ice cream from a street vendor is a joy to cool the warm sunny day.

Surplus clothes for sale or Ukay-Ukay for the locals is very much around for those who are hunting for bargain clothes that are very low in prices. They have to look for in a heap of clothes that are being sold on the street.

And there are also hankies, belts, necklaces, earrings and much more for the young and the hip. And they come in different colors and sizes, too.

Amid chaos on the street there is still a place a to rest and a chance to have a conversation with friends since there is a big place with benches just right in front of the City Hall.

An oportunity for taking pictures with your friends is a joy, there are lots of street photographers who love to take your pictures for a fee. And the famous Durian icon for Davao on the background is a must.

Street food is in abundance and Kwek-Kwek or fried boiled egg in a dough is a big hit to all, young or young once. And cucumber is added as side salad, salt and vinegar goes very well with it.

Thirsty? No need to fret there are lots to chose from and it’s all for just Php10.00 each. And if you want something mfo less you can have Ice water for Php 2.00 or Cold Buko Juice with milk for just Php 5.00 are also available at any food stalls.

Fresh flowers for sale, too. Roses, chrysanthemums and other flowers are available on sale on the streets.

Second hand shoes are also on sale on the streets and pirated shoe brands are also on sale for a bargain price. a big hit for the masses.

And if you want to see a live sport event in the park, you will not be disappointed at all. Sipa are played there almost every Sunday if the weather is good. So if you have nothing to do on Sunday and bored of your usuall routine this is a nice place to watch what is happening around and it surely beats the mall if you have a small budget .
