2nd Farm Fair in Malagos Garden Resort on Aug. 6-7!


Malagos Garden Resort and Univet Nutrition and Animal Healthcare Company present…


a weekend of seminars, food tasting, farm games and entertainment! A rare chance to own dairy goats and cows, ostriches, pheasants, birds, chickens, ducks and horses!
The Malagos Farm Fair was conceptualized as an occasion to sell the menagerie of farm animals the Puentespina Family grows. We find great pleasure and fulfillment in raising dairy goats, cows, sheep, cocks, horses, peacocks, pheasants, ostriches, fancy chickens, dogs, and ornamental birds.

1st Kadayawan Wakeboarding Competition!


A TOTAL cash prize of P60,000 is up for grabs when the 1st Kadayawan Festival Cup (KFC) Wakeboarding Competition plunges into action on August 20 at the world-class Deca Wakeboard Park (DWP) in Barangay Tacunan, Mintal and P30,000 worth of giveaways are also at stake for the participants.

Some 60 adult and kid competitors in the one-day free admission event that will have varied categories for different age-groups are expected.

The holding of the events in celebration of the Kadayawan sa Dabaw Festival will give awareness to Dabawenyos and Mindanaoans on the sport of wakeboarding.

The participants will be judged according to their tricks and stunts and how they go about all the obstacles.

A photo competition for photographers will be a side event. Cash prizes will also be awarded to the winners of the photo contest.

Deca Wakeboard Park is the third wakeboard park in the Philippines and the only one in Mindanao. The first one built was the Lago de Oro in Batangas and second was in Camarines Sur.

Entry fee for the wakeboard competition, which is presented by DWP with 8990 Housing Development Corporation, is P500 for all categories.

Join Officially Philippines Photo Contest!


Officially Philippines Photo Contest is now officially accepting entries!


You have 5 categories to choose from - Filipino Celebrations, Kaugaliang Pinoy, Hidden Treasures, Food & Places, and Filipino Represent. Each category winner will take homeP3,000 CASH. The grand prize winner will be selected from the 5 category winners who will walk away with an additional P20,000 CASH plus a Thinktank Photo Camera Bag

The contest is open to all members of the public, both Professional and Amateur photographers.

Category Topics and Submission Timeline:

1. Filipino Celebrations - Weddings, fiestas, etc. December 10, 2009 - February 9, 2010 (on or before 11:59 pm)
2. Kaugaliang Pinoy - Filipinos are known for their warm smiles and friendly nature. Capture this and other traits that are truly Filipino (ex. Bayanihan during Ondoy) February 10 - March 9, 2010 (on or before 11:59 pm)
3. Hidden Treasures - show us the other beautiful sights of the Philippines that are yet to be explored March 10 - April 9, 2010 (on or before 11:59 pm)
4. Food & Places - local Filipino cuisine, colorful kakanin, cooking the old fashion way, Spanish influences on our architecture, modern Filipino architecture, Intramuros April 10 - May 9, 2010 (on or before 11:59 pm)
5. Filipino Represent - artistic shots of our Flag, or other symbolisms of being Filipino (jeepneys, flag, tattoos, monuments, etc) May 10 - June 9, 2010 (on or before 11:59 pm)

Contest Prize:
  • Grand Prize winner - a choice of one National Geographic Photography Expedition to Morocco, Mexico (Ruta Maya) or India for two persons in 2009. Covered expenses are roundtrip coach/economy air travel for the winner and a guest of his/her choice from the major airport closest to winner's home to and from the Expedition; accommodation for the trip duration and select meals as per the expedition package during the Expedition. All other expenses are the responsibility of the Grand Prize winner. Prize trip must be taken at the time the tour is offered in 2009. Travel companion should be a suggested eighteen (18) years or older.
