Free Kadayawan concert at Damosa Gateway on August 20 and 21!



A concert dubbed “90s percent music: let the good times rock and roll” is set to happen at Damosa Gateway on August 20 and 21 in time for the Kadayawan celebration.

The affair will reunite all local bands of the 90s for a once in a lifetime experience with performances by Hearts and Mind, Loosid, Drop, Crux Criticum, Sisterhead, Kismet, Sound Punk, Pseudo Crack, Vox Humana, Ice Cold Buco Juice, Dark Deis, Black Hole Mary, Jack in the Box, Numb, Wasted Youth, and Lazy Fat.

To all 6 Cycle Mind and Rivermaya fanatics, some members of these two popular bands will also perform as one band called Skyway Traffic on Aug. 21 and 22 at the carpark of Damosa Market Basket.

Watch out as these performers rock and roll with their popular hits.

Happening also during the night would be the Musika del Sur Music Festival where bands from different provinces in Mindanao will render performances.

Skyway Traffic and Musika del Sur Music Festival is part of San Miguel Beer’s “Kum-beera” party for Kadayawan festivity.

All concerts are free.

MTV EXIT in Davao City on Nov. 21 ft. Itchy Worms, Imago and Moymoy Palaboy

MVT EXIT (End Expliotation and Trafficking) concert at the SM City Davao's Open Parking on November 21! This is another FREE CONCERT organized by MTV EXIT to raise awareness of human trafficking; a rapidly escalating multibillion dollar criminal industry that crosses borders and affects millions of lives worldwide. Davao City is the third stop in the Philippines, following concerts in Manila and Cebu.



Upon joining the Visayan Forum Foundation’s War Against Human Trafficking (WAHT), MTV EXIT has organized concerts across the Philippines to raise awareness and encourage Filipinos to join the movement to increase prevention of human trafficking and exploitation. Local artists have also joined the campaign, Imago, Itchyworms and Moymoy Palaboy, three of the biggest names in the Philippine music industry, will perform in Davao.



Prior to the concert, the WAHT campaign headed by The Visayan Forum Foundation, Inc.-in cooperation with the City Government of Davao, national government agencies, non-government, people’s and student organizations- will hold several activities as part of their unwavering commitment and determination to eliminating human trafficking. This includes school tours and orientations at the Assumption College, Ateneo de Davao, the University Mindanao, and at other selected schools, as well as community tours and educational activities in baranggays identified as at-risk areas for trafficking.

On November 21, VF and WAHT advocates will kick-off the MTV EXIT concert with a brief program at 3 pm at Magsaysay Park, followed by a Motorcade from Magsaysay Park to SM Davao.
